Hey! I'm Grace.

I am a photographer based in Athens, GA. I started my photography journey in the 11th grade by doing free photoshoots for one of my friends (and the pictures were something else, let's just say that). Thankfully, I've come a long way since then and figured out that I'm most passionate about wedding and couples photos. But don't get me wrong - I still love taking grad photos, portraits, and more!

My favorite thing about photography is that I have the honor of being invited into people’s most important moments, and then get to show them how beautiful it looked through my eyes. I think that God blessed me with the gift of seeing and noticing things in a way that is different from how others do. I love being able to extend that blessing to others.

What does a session with me look like?

Well, first of all, I want your time with me to be enjoyable. The focus should be on creating memories; not faking them. Even if your pictures turned out awesome, I wouldn't want you to look back on fake smiles and remember "man I felt so awkward in these". I describe my style as documentary with a splash of editorial. So, I may step back and observe you interacting with your environment and your person while still adding a bit of structure with some posing prompts, rather than putting you in stiff and awkward poses the whole time. If you're shooting with your boo, let's think of it as a fun date. If you're by yourself, let's think of it as an adventure. So in short, sessions with me look light, peaceful, fun, and natural.

Some extra fun facts about me

I'm a volleyball coach!

I coach high school and travel volleyball to over 36 amazing kids when I'm not taking pictures. I played volleyball in high school, but I had to retire early when I got shoulder surgery my senior year. It was a blessing in disguise though, because it led me to realize how much I love coaching.

I'm a Dawg.

Not only did I graduate from UGA, but I've been a Georgia girl from the day I was born. If you're a dawg fan, we've probably sat at the same games together. And if you're not a dawg fan.... pretend I didn't say anything.

I loveeee to travel.

God didn't create this insane planet for me to not see it and marvel in His Majesty. I've never been out of the country but have still seen so many amazing sights. This past summer I went to Colorado and saw the Rockies. The next trip I have planned is to Yellowstone (unless you want to take me somewhere to shoot with you!!)
